i am about the same, i have found that any color with a little red in it really looked nice. i dont just mean red hair, but brownish-red, starwberry blondes. the red also makes you look less red

Well blonde colors would bleech you out too much. I'd stay with a good shade of red.....or auburn. and just a hint of blonde. Both can be done in one appointment, by weaving it thru.

your complexion sounds similar to mine and i always keep my hair dark. that might be dark brown or dark red or nearly black but always dark. this is because it makes my features stand out. being light haired and pale skinned just makes you look washed out in my opinion :-)

Hair dyeing?

So I love to dye my hair, its been all shades of blonde, to a light shade of red. I've also dyed it pink, blue, and purple. I haven't dyed my hair for a while, but I just get this urge to do something crazy and fun with it. The thing is my work won't allow it. I would get fired if I showed up with pink hair. Go to the salon and get it lightened as light as they can go, this will help with damage because if you lighten it with the lightener that comes with the pink hair dye it's going to do some major unnecessary damage.

After your trip to the salon just go home and apply the pink.

Bleach your hair in the spot you want it to be. Probably bleaching it once will show, but probably not that PINK. So many twice or maybe even 3 times. Bleaching will work, I guarantee.

well it depends on how old you are if your still mid teen then i would leave it and just let your hair grow then go to a professional and let them color it never use that bad stuff from the bow it will ruin your hair

I would use blondisima or some extreme bleaching kit similar. A normal blonde dye wont do it. You're hair has to be Platinum or it wont be a vibrant pink.

Make sure to section off only the parts you want to dye, and keep the rest of your hair away from the bleach! Lol!!

Once the sections are plantinum (which may take a couple of bleachings), wait a day or two and do the pink.

Seriously, don't wash your hair after the pink dye for at least 2-3 days or it will fade a lot and use old pillowcases!

P.S. You may be tempted to jump the gun with the pink dye, before the sections are really platinum (like if the hair is reasonably blonde)...but trust me, you'll like the results much more if you're patient!

Well get simi-permament since youdon't know if it will look good on you. Try going to a hair dresser to see if they do it well. It will only be simi-permanent so if you don't like it that's good. Show them that picture and tell them that you want you hair to look kind of like that. They should show you some dyes and let you pick which ones you like. If you don't like the way the hairdresser did try getting your friend to do it semi-permanent too and see who does it better.

I dont know much about cutting hair, but with ther colour i'd get some tempory stuff first, like the colour fx range, its wash in wash out. This way you can easily try different combinations of colour untill you get the one you want, when you have it the way you want it permanantly take a picture of yourself and take it to the hairdressers with you. hope this helps.

go to a good hairdresser and they will advise you. i have brown hair and i regularly have mine dyed bright reds and blondes. my daughter is a hairdresser and she has got some wonderful colours that will show up on the darkest of hair without the bleach.

Since you don't want it bright pink, you can probably just apply some "punky" color dyes now. Special Effects - Atomic Pink is exactly what you described. It wont be all vibramt, sort of natural, but it should still be visible.

Hi there, if you want the most fantastic vibrant red in your hair, try wella's "Magma red".(your hairdresser will be able to get it for you or try buying it on line from Sally's). My hairdresser puts it through for me in blocks, I have black hair. I must admit reds is the hardest colour to hold on hair, but this one is brilliant.....even better as it has NO bleach in it...

yes you have to bleach your hair first. if not you won't see any difference. be careful that the integrity of your hair is kept strong. have the person doing your hair give you a protien treatment in between the bleaching and dying the hair pink.

depending on if you are doing the whole head pink or just hilited peices will make a big difference on how it looks

i would consider only doing hilited peices on top
