The strips [one was located- visibly- in my bangs. two were located- hidden a little bit by a few layers but still visible- about at my ears, and the last two- same as the ones near my ears- were near the back of my head]. It was a good way to die them and I died those 5 strips any color you can possibly think of, I loved it.
Much better then dying your whole head- which i also did and is a LOT of upkeep.
But on the color subject. Orange, eh, never really looks good. Same with green, green washes out into this nappy yellow-y color. Think purple, hot pink, robin's egg blue. Mix that with just platinum blonde or black and your set!
One of my favorite things to do, and I still love to do it, is just to by hair extensions of different colors [any color under the sun- by 'em all] and you can put them in and out whenever you want. you can also mix up all the colors and go rainbow, which is amazing.
