I got pink underlayers and the rest of my hair is dark brown?

i don't want the PINK to fade, or wash out- how often should i wash my hair, like take a shower but cover my head with the plastic thingy..... what do you recommend? how often should i wash my hair, so my pink color doesnt fade.
