Possibly. Or it could be mange. I would take her to the vet as soon as you can.

Her skin will be pink and the black spots are pigment in her skin so perfectly normal. You'll have to take her to the vets about the hair loss though because it could be some sort of mite or something. Good luck. Used to have white boxer and loved him to bits. Dies few years ago and still miss him every day....

With the hair loss on her back legs, could she be jumping over or through something to wear the hair off?

White boxers are cool, hope you get a better answer than mine! ;)

i have a white boxer also and most boxer's skin is pink or at least mine was i got my boxer when it was like 5 weeks old and it had some black spots but it wasn't anything that had to be taken care of but i would try to take it to the vet and see what they say. does your dog have fleas or ticks

Its possible she has an allergy to fleas - I would take her to the vets anyway. Or if the black spots are ticks you could try treating her with Frontline

Maybe that's why people should research dogs before they buy them. OMG, did she say research? Wow! It's hard, ain't it?

I don't even like Boxers and I know this: White Boxers are prone to coat and skin issues. When does stupidity ever come to an end?

By the way, I hope you didn't get your Boxer thinking white is a rare color; more than 25% of Boxers are white making it more popular than Brindle. You could've found a dog from a reputable breeder and you wouldn't have problems.

The problem isn't mange. Mange causes itching which causes the dog to scratch. If it were mange, there'd be signs of scratching. Also, the most popular kind of mange (Sarcoptic) makes the skin sag and peel. It'd be obvious.

Good luck with your girl. She'll probably have skin problems most of her life, however. Thank her BYB for that.

It might be allergies. Dogs hair fall out in spring sometimes. My dog got a summer cut and her rear region didn't start growing till winter. If you don't think this is right go see a veterinarian. I interned at a vet's office and they said it was common. If she is an old dog that might be a possibility also.

Boxers tend to have Thyroid problems, and this can be one of the signs. Ask your vet about testing her. Also, white Boxers do get black 'freckles' that get larger %26amp; kind of grow together as they age - if you look at the white areas on a fawn or brindle Boxer, you will see they have these also - it is just more noticable on a white one. It also seems Boxers hair thins as they age, too. I am guessing your dog is around 3 if you are starting to notice these things.

p.s to an above answerer: yes, white Boxers should not be sold as 'rare', but the first Boxers in Germany were mostly white dogs because of the white Bulldogs used to develop the breed - so neither should they be 'culled'. The first German champion %26amp; an influential breed foundation ***** (Blanka von Angertor) was white! Mine were given to me with spay/neuter agreements from a reputable but compassionate breeder, %26amp; and had no more health or skin issues than my other normally colored ones. Please try not to be so quick to condemn %26amp; educate yourself more about this wonderful breed: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Boxer_(dog)

It might be mites not contagious to other animals or to your self i bought a 3 month old brindle boxer in November and she had them around her eyes so we had to go to the vets he prescribed a 3 month course of something and the fur has grown back they are passed down by the mum just something that happens with that type of breed.

a lot off pure white dogs have skin and eating disorders due to the albino gene they carry you have to be pretty clued up when it comes to unusual white dogs of certain breeds ask your vet it will be costly if your dog needs a special diet or shampoo

Hi i have a white boxer and he has allergies, is it an allergy or fleas maybe, they are allergic to fleas, get frontline from your vets but please take her to the vets first to make sure.

I must say white boxers and the normal coloured boxers are fabulous dogs to the extreme he is the most faithful and friendly dog i have ever had. Ive never had a boxer before, also an excellent guard dog, very protective. Good luck i hope you can get her to the vets as soon as poss.
