She's six years old. Most little girls that are six years old are sooooooo fascinated with pink that they would wear a pink wig to school if they could! I'm sure she's not wanting her hair to be pink as a form of rebellion at..... six years old! *cough*

As parents....... you showed her how to do it in moderation. And the truth is....... it will grow out and get cut and disappear before most anyone else even sees it.

Exactly how are you being bad? Now if you held her down and dyed it pink while she was kicking and screaming....... lol sure, you'd suck as parents. But you kind of taught her a lesson to come to you rather than to just make a decision like that behind your back. I think it was rather open. :)

I think that if you are okay with it, who cares what others think? You have not harmed your child in any way and you are encouraging her to express herself. I think it is a good thing you are doing with her.

She must have wanted it, right? I mean..she came to you and asked if she could do it, right? If that is the case, then you are just fine parents. You didn't harm her. It will grow out or can be changed. You do what you feel is right for your child...not what people will judge as right. Now, if you told her that you were going to color her hair whether she liked it or not....that's another story.

Kid's are wanting to express their individuality at younger and younger ages. If we aren't supportive of at least some of them they will just rebel. I think you're a great parent.

If your kid likes it then who cares what others think. Don't even ask us what we think. Freedom of expression is a good thing and your child can chose to stand out in a crowd if that is what she (or he) wants.

My sister-in-law put blonde highlights on her 4 year old daughter's hair and wherever hair she found on her bald hubby. Everyone adored the little ones extra sun glowing streaks where the husband looked like crusty the clown got electrocuted!
