Reds have smaller dye molecules than any other dye. So they do not hold as well.
Why do hair dyes like red or highlights of pink, purple dont last long at all..?
If you bleach your hair first the colored highlights will absorb deeper into your hair and last longer. Also you don't have to wash your hair every day especially if it's bleached because it will be dry.
